Day 65

I found this cute elephant frame in my Kirigami book and decided to give it a try.  Right around the time to trace the elephant my allergies went crazy and I couldn't stop sneezing, which caused my tracing to be all over the place and I had to redo it.  So please, when you get to the picture of the traced elephant, don't laugh...too hard anyway...

Here is the paper I used.  I went with pink because I always think of pink elephants from the old cartoons (don't worry, I won't bore you with my childhood memories):

After some folding, I traced the elephant...and sneezed a million times....and traced again (please keep the laughing to a minimum):

All cut out:

All unfolded, notice the ears and eyes are also cut out, so cute:

Here is the general look with a picture, not the one I'll use, but just so you get the idea:

And here is Rascal (aka Coo-Coo) loving my arm as I try to type, just because....

Day 45

When I got home from work tonight one of the first things Stan said was "I have a craft you can do tonight!".  And my first thought was "YAY!!!" because I wasn't too sure what I was going to do!

His computer came with a bunch of craft software and he was checking it out today.  There was a template for a photo cube, you just add your pictures, print it out, cut it, score the folding lines, fold and glue!  That's it!  It was easy and fun and now I have an adorable photo cube of the 6 loves of my life to adorn my desk at work!!!

Printed on card stock:

All cut out and ready to be scored, folded and glued:

Folded, a little flimsy looking but it's holding up well:

Day 9

I could not for the life of me figure out what to do today, so I enlisted Stan's help.  He suggested a frame, and I have had this picture of our cat Rascal (aka "Coo Coo") sitting next to my alarm clock for a while frameless, so this was a great opportunity to get him looking even cuter!

I had an empty cardboard box that I cut down to about an inch bigger then the picture on all four sides.  I glued the picture to the cardboard, used acrylic paint around the edges in blue, stuck the various stickers on it and added the brads in the "I love my cat" banner.  On the back I stuck an extra piece of cardboard in a triangle to hold the frame up.  Overall an elementary but totally adorable frame.  It's super cute, but that might just be the picture!!  Below are some not so good pictures of the frame, the lighting is really bad.  Also, there is a picture of Izzy trying to help get a good shot.  Obviously it didn't help.  :)
