Day 92

Yesterday's craft was fun, so I decided to do it again today, just with a different size glass container and red paint instead of blue!  Stan helped me with a different design as well.  We wrapped the masking tape on the top and bottom and around the middle at an angle.  This can be used as another candle holder or something else, not too sure yet!

Here it is finished:

I was trying to get another shot of the design, but the camera wouldn't focus:

And here is a shot from the inside, just because I liked the way it looked!:

Day 67

Today's craft was just something I thought up out of the blue, and I have to say it was really relaxing.  I came home feeling like a zombie and after an hour of painting, I got my second wind.  It's like my brain cleared right out!

I have jewelry gift boxes laying around and decided to try a red and black checker pattern design for a future gift box.  The only thing I don't like about what I did was I did not tape off the lines, so the checker boxes are not straight, but other then that, I'm happy with the outcome!

Here it is finished:

Here is what it looked like before I got started:

I drew lines for the checker box pattern:

I did red and black every other box for the checker box pattern.  I need to touch up a bit once it's dry:

Day 54

This was just a crazy day, and I can honestly say that I almost decided to skip tonight's craft, even stop forever because it was just one of those days where I didn't want to deal with anything, let alone trying to figure out what kind of craft to do!  But then I remembered that life has good days and bad days and you have to take it for what it is, and keep going.  So that's what I did.

I didn't get to even think about a craft until 8:30pm, which is pretty darn close to my bed time, so I rushed around looking for something and decided on a Origami Suncatcher.  I did a two colored one this time and I had help from our cat Cody!  All in all, I'm really glad I took the time to do it, though I did rush and it's a bit sloppy.  But it grounded my thoughts and Cody had me laughing so it was really a great stress reliever for me.

I started with a sheet of orange and a sheet of red origami paper:

I folded each and was left with 8 rectangles for each color, but I only used four of each color:

I started folding each one, and Cody supervised, he licked the paper accordingly and at one point walked over them, getting them stuck to his feet, and freaked out.  I was laughing to hard to be mad:

Here is the finished suncatcher, notice Cody's paw of approval on the left:

Day 11

Today's craft is wedding related!  I realized that I have to get going on wedding stuff or I'm going to have a nervous breakdown as time gets closer, so tonight I did some stuff.  However, I realized I don't want to ruin any surprises!  So I took a picture of today's craft in a way that is NOTHING like what it's going to look like at the wedding.  I will say however that these will eventually be the centerpieces.  I know they look odd, stupid, etc...here, but that's just the way it has to be.  :)
